Get Ready to Open The Envelope

THE ENVELOPE — Start Here

Welcome to EtherTech Global Industries. We build what you believe in. The Envelope is our attempt at making a microcosm in the macrocosm, a place to live, play, get excited about, and get you out of the house.
We intend on eventually bringing this building beyond Net Zero Energy and making it a Net Energy Producer. We intend on bringing the community together in a new and unique way they've never seen before.
This board exists for one purpose: to move ideas across the border.
That border is what we call The Envelope — the thin, stubborn membrane between thinking about a thing and building a thing that survives contact with reality. On one side: inspiration, sketches, late-night certainty. On the other: parts lists, tests, failures that teach, notes that stick.
Most places ask you to be polished before you speak.
Here, we ask you to be true before you get pretty.
What belongs here
Questions asked honestly (“Why isn’t this working?” counts as progress.)
Updates (on the development)
Build logs (even messy ones)
Plans and prototypes (hardware, software, spaces, systems)
Artifacts (photos, diagrams, drafts, renders, recordings)
Small wins (because they’re how big projects actually happen)
How we do it
Post like you’re leaving a note for Future You and a breadcrumb for others.
If you’re starting something new, a good first post is:
What it is (one sentence)
Why it exists (one paragraph)
What you’ve got (links, pics, specs, constraints)
What you need next (a decision, a tool, a collaborator, a sanity check)
A house rule
If it’s worth doing, it’s worth naming.
Names make projects behave. Names make threads searchable. Names turn “someday” into a thing that can be carried.
So: welcome.
Bring your designs. Bring your questions. Bring your raw material.
We’ll route it. We’ll refine it. We’ll ship it.
